FAQ

What if I don’t get my first choice of night or demographic?

This is a new program for Beachcities – we don’t know how many people or groups to prepare for.  We will do our best to place you in a night that works for you and a group that works for you – be patient with us if we don’t get the perfect fit!  We still believe in the concept of relationships and Christian community of ALL ages and demographics.  

What is the curriculum?

All groups are to use curriculum that is approved by Beachcities.  There are three options: Sermon-based (following Pastor Kent’s weekly messages), Bible book-by-book (i.e., not topical).  Resources, and devotional study books (from a pre-approved list).  The goal is to have consistency in teaching from study to study, in concert with Beachcities’ beliefs.

Who are the leaders and hosts?

Men who regularly attend Beachcities have applied for leadership positions and selected to lead/host this season’s studies.  Please give them your full support!

When will studies be held?  

Studies are expected to launch in September.  We’re running Men’s Bible studies on a school year basis, September to June.    We aren’t scheduling breaks for everyone (e.g., Christmas); this will be up to each group.  But we encourage groups to meet as regularly as possible for these 10 months.  Some groups may decide to continue through the summer. Group leader will select their day/time, coordinating with the host.

Where will meetings be held?

Most of the studies will meet off-site from the church campus, likely at homes or in some cases at public locations.
